i seem to do better when my bait is going up or down in some harsh underwater element like, timber, brush, rocks, grass, or docks and usually w a worm or jig on the end vs. when my bait is going "to and fro"... but sometimes it takes the "to and fro" to get bit, so thats what we do.

sometimes thats how baseball go

I am a finesser now days. I used to be a straight up jig pitcher and still do. Now days though, 90 % of my time time will have a finesse rig on the end of my line. No matter the conditions, I will adapt a rig that will catch fish.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Isn't everyone a junk fisherman to some point? I couldn't imagine someone sticking with one thing always. If you are not adapting then you will never get better I'd guess!

I prefer to fish a jig more then anything.

I usually keep about 10 rods on the deck and throw anything at everything until I get something figured out then I put about 12 rods on the deck and if that dont work I go home! Does that make me a junk fisherman?

I'm none of the above... I just put on my jersey and they just jump in the boat.
