Just watched Butch Brown's youtube video of rigging an 8 inch Huddleston with a stinger hook. He says you can do the 6 inch the same way however the 6 inch has hard plastic in its head instead of foam like the 8 inch, any one have an idea how to rig a stinger hook, I saw another video where the guy did the stinger hook behind the dorsal fin. He used 80 lb braid, thought about maybe doing this and not cutting off jig hook, so thay way I have jig hook and the stinger hook, please any thoughts or tips appreciated, I have just recently started to put Huddleston's in my arsenal, thanks,

As a suggestion, go to swimbaitnation.com everything you'll ever want or need to know about swimbait rigging

Get a smaill drill bit and go in from the head at 45degrees to male it an inline bait.

As far as the stinger hook get some 100lb braid, tie onto the main hook and go through the bait towards the tail with a big needle, then tie on another large treble, stick most of the shank into the tail!

Its hard for me to explain.. Pm me if you have a question or two or three..lol

Shouldnt need a true stinger hook. If you are replacing the jig style hook with the treble style either the drill method or magnets (Ive seen them rigged this way but I dont).

I havent ever had to use anything other than the bent treble to hold it in place so not sure what problem you are having.

I see no need to change a 6 inch hudd. The jig hook works fine. The butch way is the only way to go for the 8 inch tho.

What size treble would you use for the 6 inch?

You will get a lot different opinions on the hook size. I have seen guys use from a #2 up to 3/0. I mainly use #1s or 1/0. I dont like the hook sticking out wider than the bait. You will get hung up more that way.
