Found a place on hubbard that had trees in deeper water then i could get to but seemed to be kinda protected with a hard bottom and one area had a clay type bottom it seemed when walking thru it. Would a place like this be very good this time of the year? The trees like i said i wouldnt really be abe to get to them since they are out about 100 yards or so and if i wade i could cast to them thou? Any hubbard fisherman knows the area its btween 66 and miller road if you cross the tracks parking at miller there is ample bank room but you have to walk a bit to get to it. Any chance they may come in there?
Just looking to catch a few big cats if i can, dont fish for them much anymore and if i go catfishing i want it to be for the big catfish. Im catch and release anyway and would be using mainly live bluegill which is what i normally use unless i can get some big live shad in the winter for them.
Any opinions?

That would have been an outstanding day from a boat cruisin' around for hours hitting all the best spots... but from one place on the bank?!?!? WOW! Congrats!

 "Yes sir....thems some nice 'n biguns fer shore" ...back down SE Texas we measure biguns by how much the pictures weigh themselves!? Look like some really heavy pics there.

And you hit on the 2 day YC (YellowCat) run on the Catfish Calendar April 28th/29th (Thurs/Fri). Next run (roam/feed) will be May 7th/8th (Sat/Sun).
Will post May's calendar tonight or tomorrow on my Catfish Calendar thread.
Sadly, I was on a work-a-thon. Worked from Friday 8:30 AM (hour for lunch) until 3:30 AM Saturday. Sawed logs in the truck outside of the shop for 3 hours until the crew honked for me to open the gate just before 7 AM. So I got 3 hours of ZZZ before busting it again until 2:50 PM. Last one standing, as they had all left between Noon & 1 PM. So I guess next weekend will be a little fishing, as this one was diverted completely.

what size perch? I just started to use perch and havent had any luck yet.
