Taking the boy to RC saturday, looking for a good place to bank fish for cats. Never been there before. Just pulled up sum locations off of TPWD. What do you think ????

Cedar creek
Chambers creek marina
FM 2859 crossing
Cheneyboro ramp
Crab creek
Midway landing
Oak cove marina
Highway 309 park
Fishermans point

Which one would be the best ????

If wind is out of the south then I would go to the 309 ramp area or crab creek. Fisherman's point has plenty of shore line to explore and fish but it is on south side. Get a couple boxes of nightcrawlers and find a windblown bank and you should wear the blue cats out.

The wind is the key. You want it in your face. There are so many catfish in that lake it is hard to go wrong. Hope you and your son have a great time.

I have some buddies that crappie fish and put in at the FM2859 Crossing. They said they see people doing pretty good catching cats there under the bridge.

There is a creek where the boat ramp is by the Chambers Creek Marina. Probably a pretty good spot right now. That spot is pretty popular for crappie guys so it could be packed.
