So where is this spot? Have the day off Wednesday and trying to decide where I want to fish. Look up Lavon Lake on Google maps. It's out near Wylie. South end of the lake is The Dam, where most successful dams are. Zoom in on the Sat image and you'll see the railroad crossing just south of the dam. Zoom in some more and you'll see the scads of fisherpeople trying to catch dinner.  I've fished there a few times. Caught some small stuff out there and hooked something that broke my line too. So, I think there are some crazy angry fish in there. Enjoy the day! Should be beautiful. (Edit: Sorry to give this "secret spot" away old timers!! lol)

Knowing where to park and where the holes with the most action is the key.

nice job man...so any guesses on how many people are going tonight..how late u going to be there Sonfish..do u need waders waders arent nessasary... you could wade if you like... i didnt have to... they are very shallow... 4-5ft...just makesure you have a split shot if your using minnows and a hook... because its quite windy

Not if you know what u r doing, just did 35 and I can see thru the backbone and no busted guts- but thats just me , do what ya like, but don't say its wasting meat because u r not good at it
