so I had my buddy drive over from fort worth last night and I drove to kemp from stephenville. got up this mornin got the boat hitched, gear loaded, sandwiches made, cooler filled, and dogs fed. gettin ready to pull out and realized I didn't grab the boat key. go back in the house and come to find out the key is in san antonio!!!
does anyone know of a marine shop or anything of the sort that may have an extra key to an early 90s model mako center console or who can machine a key for me this mornin? please feel free to call me asap 972 897 5915

I ALWAYS keep my spare boat key in the truck - I leave the primary in the boat. Just a bad habit I have since I did something similar many, many, many, many years ago.

well I cannot express how frustrated I am with myself. We have been pumped up all week and this happens. my dad hauled this boat up from corpus back in october and that was the only key that he got from the guy that sole him the boat. I know it is my fault I didn't have all my eggs in row ahead of time but I am just tryin to salvage the day for my buddy and I. may drive to bardwell and see what that fishin dock is all about idk. this sucks

I had a key break off in my ignition and just bought a new ignition module at my local marine shop. cost around $25. Disconnected old ignition, plugged in new one which came with two keys - good to go. Not sure if yours will be that easy. My boat is a Triton Crappie Pro. Good luck.

Excellent solution - don't know of any marine dealers/shops open today but still a good idea. BPS opens up at 9? 10?

I wish I knew of a marine shop open this mornin over here. the good folks at finny tribe just recommended a couple locksmiths to me and those guys quoted me $100, IF they had the right key blanks... do I save the money and lick my wounds or burn a hundred more bucks for key plus fuel and food and time, to go fishin?

Call Mike at 903-489-0067 - great boat mechanic and very fair. He lives and has his shop right off of 198. If he doesn't answer the phone - leave a message. He may have an extra key that will fit your boat or can replace the ignition ..... he works on sunday!

Maybe you shouldn't push your luck. Things can happen for a reason. Maybe u should just make the best of it and try a little bank fishing.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

thank you i left a message. If he can help me out for $30 or so it would be worth it to me, but $100 just isnt justifyable to me when i could have the key mailed to me this week for $5, just waste today is all

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
