I didn't catch very many, but the ones I did catch were huge. Th Sprite bottle in the picture is a 2 liter. Smallest one was 11 inches and the biggest was 13 1/2 inches.

I caught them near the dam at Bardwell in about 24 feet of water suspended at about 13 ft. That's the first time that I've found them like that out there. They are usually very hard to come by on Bardwell.

I've caught some good shad on the ramps. About 1/2 John's size. But that is when is was hot.

I'm sure I could have caught more if I could have quit throwing figure 8's with my net. I've got to practice with my net more.

Well, I'm sure I'll be throwing all kinds of shapes that ain't round. I've never done it before, but I'd rather try and fail than not try at all.

I've heard of a few guys pulling shad like that repeatedly out of Arlington lately.

I watched some youtube video's and got it down pretty good. Practiced in the back yard for a while then to the lake. Lot's of mf'ers thown out in the training process. The a bunch more thrown out when Clark took one and Bardwell took the other one.

Any of you tried this add-on to a cast net to help you throw those "circles"?

Good job! I bet down by the dam was about the only place it was confortable to cast that net with as windy as it has been!

I'm wondering...who all is going to fish it?

Team Stockyards will be there...
