Those flappers can get hard and not seal well . I would replace them and it should correct the issue.

I had the same problem. I replaced the flappers with original parts and it still leaked. I just put plugs in both drains from the inside. I will take a look at Academy in a few minutes since I have to go anyway.

joejoe7716 any chance you could post a link from BPS?

I have the 2003 model and both front storage compartments, the ones with the cushions fill with water when it rains. Just curious if this effects yours also and if you might have found an easy fix.

I have a CC of different origin and I finally replaced all of the orignal hatches with new units I got at Cabelas-it is expensive but some of the OEM hatches and bases leak even with a good silicone seal-poor design I suppose-the water would also move throught the compartments via the drain interconnect and sometime they will clog with debris...

They are called self bailing scuppers. I have them on my CC as well, the ones w/ the little ball inside. I too will collect a little water in my boat while on the water. I heard it was normal for most self bailing hulls to do this but I have also thought about replacing them to see if it helps. Have not gotten around to it yet. Also need to make sure if you beach your boat overnight you don't pull it up on the bank too far. Let is sit more level in the water if you can & in protected waters. Mine took on an aweful lot of water overnight when I did this. If I don't pull it up too far it is much less water.

Stopped by Academy at lunch and saw the ones with the ping pong ball float type. They are 7.99 each.

They look pretty cool but I think I will stick with my plugs. If I collect a little rain water. I use a hand bilge pump to bail it out. This one does a great job.

I've got a 19VX and most of the water will collect through the scuppers while launching from my experience. I don't think it's a problem, at least with the amount I get, after all the boat design is a self bailing concept with scuppers which means water on the deck can be expected.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!
