First- I have read all the negative comments about the Navionics Premium 2009-2010 cards, which is what I am thinking about purchasing for and extra $100.00 apiece with my new (demo) boat. Boat is coming with HDS-8&7 2010 models. No LSS-1, so that's my first ad on. Do i purchase the cards, or look for something else. I fish Toledo Bend more than anything, really looking to learn fishing structure, contour is important. Also want to be able to sit at my computer and select an area and input into my units. Navplanner2 is what i am reading the most about. Does that come with a card reader? Once you plan your spots and put the card into the unit, does it network on both units, or do you have to copy to both cards? I will have more time to play on PC than on the water, so searching and planning fishing spots is important, What's the best setup, starting with what i have. I also read about Tommy Martins GPS mapping and Fish-n-Chips. Which way to go guys ?? Thanks

I would go with the new navionics, the ones put out after Oct 2010. they have the updates that are suppossed to be bringing back alot of the old data ( I have not seen one, Just what I heard) from 2008. You can get the Navplanner 2, which comes with the card reader and plot all your points on your home computer. not sure of lowrance WP sharing capability.
