Go to the "wall" and walk to the middle. Cast your net just inside. Use an extension rope 20 foot long.let it sink to the end of the rope and pull up. You will have a bucket full of shade in no time. Do not use a longer extension rope than 20 feet, your net will get stuck on all the broke off anchors that people have lost by not using anchor chains.
Take your shad to the hot water outlet past the power lines. Anchor at the point just out side the cable. Use cut shad. Blue cats have been there for a week. Big ones!
Hope this helps.

Hey jojo i did exactly as you said threw cast net at wall with extension and caught quite a few shad that was exactly what i have been lookin for i used to fish the lake back in high school and we would catch tilapia and shad for bait by the hundreds but always during hot weather so didnt know anything bout finding them in the cold. There were quite a few people there noticing that we were catching alot of bait including a little girl trying to catch perch but wanted a catfish so we gave some of the bait away to hopefully make their day too we had a lot of bites and ended up with only 4 but like i said its been a long time since fishing there so wasnt really prepared just wanted the family to have a good time on the boat and because of you we did i thank you very much for sharing your info you put a smile on many people faces im also tryin to learn braunig and calaveras again so all man to man info awesome once again thank u your deed did not go unoticed that i promise god bless you brother
