Yep. It took 5 hours to get there. And I live in Midlothian. Jared is good at everything he does, including making it to Tawakoni and back before we had time to cross the hubbard bridge.

We had planned on fishing Friday afternoon, but (as you will see in the video) that got nixed really quick when we rolled into Shoe String Farm right at dark.

The fish bit good on Sat and for some reason marked really well on the sonar vs. Sunday. Both days the fish bit, but Sunday you had to move around a ton to find biting fish.

Roy and Jason (modern day drifter and headshaker) stayed at shoe string farm and we hung out...excellent guys and had a lot of fun. (thanks for some bait)

Saturday teri had a 33lb'er that buried the rod on the bee ready...but it held (wasn't sure if it was going to) then we caught a triple 18,12 & 9 and those fish hit within 5 seconds of each other...but we got them all in.

Sunday I got a 28lber, teri had and lost a huge fish which made her sick (in the video) which ended up being funny.

I'm still new to catching these blue cats and i'm learning that taking the time to find the fish on the sonar pays off. On saturday afternoon we spent exactly and hour (teri fell asleep while I looked) looking for active fish. I found them. No more than my second pole was cast out, my first one went down with the 33lber.

Good Luck out there and see everyone on the 26th...

Here is the Video: (we promise to get better at making these videos, they are fun.)

Man i thought i was die hard and hard core, but, I might have finally found someone that trumped me when it comes to fishing in those type conditions! I just go for crappie and white bass when it's like that! Man those are some HOSSES you guys got into!

Now that's what I call committed. Some warm peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla on top will make all that cold and slime go away. Great job ya'll. I'll bet you two were the only ones on the lake that day..
