Finally got my FF installed and mounted. Used Marine Goop to mount ducer in hull of kayak and was able to use bungee cord that latches my front storage compartment door to mount the FF onto. Click the link below to view pics. Everything seems to be work fine. Its finding depth, structures, thick cluster of maybe bait fish, but haven't seen any arches thinking some fine tuning can remedy that...looks primitive but works for me.

Actually looks like a very clean install. Good work.

I have made a Lot of miles with my SI transducer mounted in the water and the downimaging transducer mounted in the hull. I can select or exclude either one and compare readings quickly and accurately. The outside give instant and accurate readings obviously. The interior one reads with 2 degrees of the outside and has a 2-3 minute lag time when I am going through major temp fluctuations like winter fishing in the outflow of the generating plant.

It is a very small bit better on lag time when I am using epoxy for the interior unit.
