Anyone fish Turtle Creek, Exall Lake, & Wycliff Ave Lake? What's the fishing report or what can be caught there? Also, do they allow kayaking/Canoeing?

don't think there is enough open creek for kayaking. you can fish there. Upper area below Dallas Athletic Club spillway has some bass and big bluegills, bullheads, a few channel cats, and all manner of rough fish--BIG carp!
Area around Douglas/Wycliffe/Fitzugh merge has some bass, a few big bluegills, and rough fish galore. The area around Lemmon has mostly 'gills(smallish), big carp and buffalo, and some bullheads. Not sure about bass, have never caught any that far downstream.

Thanks Lovfldx! My parents used to take us out there when we were kids in mid and late 70's. Haven't been back since the last family outing there. That's where my dad introduced us to fishing and I've been an addict ever since. Back then it was either was carp or sunfish. Well that's all we caught. Shoot I remember getting excited every time my bobber went down under the water. Even still now....hahaha I can even remember one of my older brothers falling in creek once there either from fishing to close to the edge or they were horse playing and one fell in. The things that you remember when you're a kid while fishing. May make trip out there just for kicks with or without a rod. Try to see if I can find where we used to fish 30 something years ago.
Thanks again Lovfldx

The best fishing is the upper end of the creek, Lakeside drive. One side it's million $ plus mansions, on the other, its a public park. in the spring/summer, lots of water lillies, the bass and big bluegills hang out there. That is the "lake" that forms below the Dallas Athletic Club spillway

I remember the word Lakeside and I think that's where we fished back then and yes I do remember all the Lilly pads. I think we were on the east side of the lake which is Lakeside Dr. I gotta make a trip out there this spring/summer. Thanks for the tip!
