Awesome! My dad had one when I was a kid and used that thing for all the little ponds/streams in our area. Got alot of bluegills. I wish I still had that thing.

other than for sentimental value, or "antiques roadshow" purposes, lived the "pocket fisherman" era, and basically the consensus was that it was a piece of junk! Did I miss something?

+1

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

My step-dad had one when I was a kid. he never used it, so i did. It was better than nothing. A few years ago I picked up one at a flea market. It is unused, in the box with all the extras. I think I gave $5 for it. I thought I was going to get rich selling it on ebay, until I saw what they were going for. I kept it for fun.

I have used the new pocket fisherman.....the black body ones...last year and had a blast just chunking small spinner baits while crappie jigging at Lavon. Yeah it sure ain't a Falcon but if you use something heavy like a Shad-rap it can be fun. For extra laughs, wait until your buddy has one on and reach over and hit the "rod release" in the middle of the fight smile The whole rig collapses and many explatives will follow.

Just F.Y.I.---the little "hidden" tacklebox in the handle IS NOT A GOOD PLACE to hide your doobies. Got spot checked on Lavon and the GW had not seen the "new" one yet. As he was checking it out he popped the tackle box and Hey Hey..what have we here?....my buddy got a poss. charge ON THE LAKE. [censored]. That is why I have a STRICT "NO BEER NO BUD" policy on my boat.
He started to try and talk his way out of it...good luck there bud...and the GW threated him with impounding not only his boat, but the trailer and tow vehicle as well.
Think you wife is always pissed that you send so much time fishing now?...try telling her that after all your [censored] get sent to the pound. Just not worth it.

The best thing about being your own boss is never having to ask anyone for permission to go fishing.

Hahaha!

There is no such thing as "too much" fishing.
