Okay, I am sure this has been discussed before but what is the best oil for bearings?

Penn Synthetic is what I like. I've used a lot of Abu also.

Lots of good oils, the Quantum hot sauce is good too.

Thanks, Billy

"Best" is very subjective in any sense. I like Xtreme reel oil, light weight, works well in hot or cold, and man, does that spool spin! Downside is you have to apply it about twice as often and it costs a bit more than other oils.

Hot Sauce for me. For insane freespool, I use Rem oil, but it needs frequent reapplication.

I have Hot Sauce reel oil. I also have some Ardent Reel Butter for the reel grease. They both seem to work pretty good to me. I got them at Academy a while back.

I use nothing but Ardent Reel Butter I used Rocket Fuel for several years but foung Ardent is at least as good and made in the USA. Also it is about 1/2 the price as Rocket Fuel.
