Congratulation, good catch. Haven't fished Georgetown for a while. What did you use for bait? I usually went there for crappie fishing this time of the year, probably should try soon. laugh

Gabriel, where on brushy creek can you go. My inlaws live in Leander and I fish the San Gabriel often, but have never been to brushy creek. Where can I wade or put in a kayak. I live in Dallas so when I make it down I don't have much exploring time.

Thanks,
Bryan

honestly, I don't have a lot of experience fishing the Brushy.I live in georgetown and I also fish mostly the San Gabriel. The best places I have fished the brushy have been off hairyman rd in the round rock area.there are place to park along the road and at a park that is right across from the bushy. that area is good for wading, but pretty shallow, so you may spend a lot of time dragging your kayak if you bring one. However, if you go to the round rock( the actual round rock, your in-laws will probably know where it is) you can kayak. The fish shown were caught just west of there by a damn which you can see from the road.My best advice would be to put up a post in the bank, kayak or fly fishing areas of the forum before you come down. there is also a small resevoir on the brushy on hairy man rd. that I hear is good if you get out in a kayak. it is a park so it whould be easy to get directions to.
