I bought a used Lanier Cat and it has a 74lb wireless TM. I've never owned a cat hull or anything but a MG or MK bow mount. I think it also has a detachable foot pedal. My questions is...how maneuverable is the boat with a unit like this vs a cable steer. We manily fish dicks and channels although when we hit the bigger lakes like Lake michigan, we are fishing all over the place. Here's a pic of the current set up...the pollong platform is coming off. ![](http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e264/FatBasser/Lanier/IMG_6291.jpg)

Not sure about the wireless TM maneuverability, but I would like to know how well the wireless TM w/GPS that are suppose to hold your boat within so many feet of a desired GPS position work? .....and we fish channels down here in Texas, but what the other kind of fishing you indicated must be primarily for the northerners lakes.

That's a cool looking boat. I wonder how it handles big water?

the choppier the water, the better the ride. They are designed by Errol Lanier, the offshore racing hull designer.

Yes...Lake Michigan offshore for small mouth, but we have some fairly large lakes in Wisconsin that we fish. I read about the GPS feature that keeps you right on your spot or pattern. That is pretty slick if it works.

Another good lookin boat, Mike ![cheers cheers](/forums/images/graemlins/default/cheers.gif) I don't think they're too much different. I run my uncle's Lund every Summer. I think there might be a little lag to get used to, but everything takes a little getting used to. I've thought about going that route just to get the iPilot
