Are the contestants going to tow their boats into the arena for the weigh in like the bass pros do? I would love to see the faces of glutenous envy when Tom pulls in the Cat Yacht.

Yes Brian, that's the way they run it. You and your partner will get in the boat and the crew at the Expo center will drive your rig into the arena with all the lights off and the spotlight on you while the sound system plays your song of choice. After you enter then the emcee will start talking your team up. They pull up to the stage and you pull your fish out and bring them to the scales. It should be pretty cool. They also recomend that you have something to toss to the crowd as you enter (something safe of course, like the bass guys throw boxes of lures). I need some ideas on this. We are still planning on a meeting and registration get together on Fri. night but are still working on a site. We are hoping for a big turnout to show that our sport is legitimate and introduce some fisherman to catfish tournament fishing that didn't even know that such a thing existed. I need for all that are coming to write a little capsule of information about your team. For example name ,hometown, how long you have been fishing for cats, awards, lake records accomplishments etc. Come on guys and gals and lets show the people of Central Texas what a real fish is.

We might get banned from Bell County if we toss out some of our catfish goodies.
