Don't know if this is in the right section or not, but since I'm targeting cats I might as well put it here. My local Academy has three sizes of Penn reels: small, medium, and large. I was looking at the small one to pair with the yellow TC rods they have there. Anyone have opinions good or bad on the Penn reels? They're probably gonna be used five to six times a year. Thank you all in advance.
P.S. The Abu's are out of my price range.

You can look on ebay and get a 555 pretty cheap and it's a first class reel. I also have a 209 that is a first class reel, have caught sharks on both and both $50 and under for used reels.

i like the penn reels. i use 209 a lot in saltwater and for cats in fresh water. the best penn is the 320gt but they go for around $100. i have 2 of these and they are real good.

Southwest is out of those reels, and they were 6000C. I got the last 4 unless they got more which, at 4:30 pm Friday they were still out.

I have all kinds of penn reels and the next reel I buy will be a proangler. Hands down smoother and casts better than my 209's, squidders, and other penns
