Question 1:
I took the LCX-25C out for the first time the other day on Lake Fork, Tx, for which the Hotspots Elite card I have in it has topo and GPS data. However, it did not show the hotspots map; it only showed the default map that has only crude angular shore outlines and no topo lines or data -- even after I took the memory card out and put it back in. (I did that about 3 times, just to be sure.) Each time I pulled the memory card out and put it back in, the GPS display would reindex, but it still did not show lake data. I know that Hotspots Elite memory card did work, because I could run it in my house (on a 12 v supply), and pan over to Lake Fork and see the lake topo contours. Is there something I'm supposed to do to make the unit read current GPS info from the memory card instead of from the GPS's built-in map data?

Question 2:
What happens if I'm on a lake (such as Lake Fork, TX) for which I have two memory cards, each of which has different map data for that lake loaded. For example, if I have the Hotspots Elite memory card loaded at the same time I have a memory card with Lowrance's "free enhanced map" of Fork loaded? Or if the second memory card is the Navionics one?

You can access the program through the menu to change where its getting its map info. I don't remember all the steps but press the menu button and its pretty easy to figure out from there.

When I power up my 330, the navig warning box pops up then the hotspots box pops up, is that happening???
On the 330 you press menu 2X at the bottom is brose mmc. scoll to that and press ent. If it is reading the card it should show. If it's a copy it will show but not access.

330 only has one card so I don't know the other answer.

On my 332c you hit menu scroll to map data then select navionics map choice and select your map.
