Went after some sand bass this afternoon at Lewisville for a change from the slimy fish and had a blast! Ended up with about 20 whites and 3 hybrids all on carolina rigged live shad. Only 2 under whites and 1 under hybrid with the biggest a nice wiper just shy of 6 lbs. Not much surface activity except for the occasional shad flipping. Most of the fish were really close to the bank off a shallow point no more than 6 ft deep. Sorry no pics, partner was busy moving and cell pics of a fish lying on the ground just don't do it. All fish were released. Go get you some shallow action! cheers

a friend and i were out there yesterday - and on the northeast side of the sand bass cut the hybrids were between 8 and 15 feet deep

i cougt 4 good hybrids all return but one due to the slab going far in into his throat - my friend cought one and two small ones

sand bass a bunch a dinks i hope the big ones come out soon - hybrids kept mine and my friends

I am ready to fish a lot, and work a little - but it probably won't work out that way..LOL. If I ever won the lottery though, first thing I would do is buy a new boat and fish every day !!

I'm ready for the cooler weather, calm waters, and feeding frenzies.
