backs of coves. spinnerbaits and cranks. throw in a few weightless flukes and buzzbaits.
Right on! In the fall, bass will usually start pushing the shad up into the backs of creeks and coves for one last feeding frenzy before it starts getting cold and everyone starts moving deep.
When they do this it really makes for some fun fast paced fishing. This is a time of year when you can catch both numbers and good size up shallow.
Usually the fish are feeding to good for me to want to throw plastics. It is too fun catching them on cranking lures after the dog days of summer slow fishing worms. I like to throw redeye shads, rattle traps, and an assortment of shallow crankbiats. Aso, you can get into some good topwater action with a large spook.
Good luck!
