Just couldn't resist trying to come up with a simple easy to tie fly with an action like Charlie Bisharat's "Pole Dancer". Kiddie pool tests show this thing floating tail down and jumping back and forth (aka "walking the dog") like a boxer on crack with a short strip retrieve. Basically, its a rear weighted reverse crease fly trimmed to shape with a rattle belly. The face is opened up more round and closed off with a foam backer rod plug. The size and color possiblilities would seem endless. If you've ever tied a crease, this thing is a snap. Can't wait to fish it! See the photo below and the steps I used and more detailed larger pics at Spookalike .

Almost forgot, the hook I used was a Mustad 30411 2/0; I was using my largest crease fly cutter. bolt

Looks like a good fly from what I can tell. It is hard to see it all. Can you get a photo of the whole thing?

Is the rattle the only weight you added?

No, I wrapped some lead wire on the hook shank beginning directly above the hook point and forward. I believe rear weight makes all the difference. I believe someone else pointed this out earlier on another thread with a scientific explanation. I just know it works great.

I had to look back a little way to find these threads, but here they are:

I don't know how much actual science is in there, but I do remember fun being had.
