Has any one tried a FROG as a Trailer? I tried a Lizard one time and it worked great.

What I use works great. Don't see any reason to change it.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

If you want to try something different, take off the skirt and put on a LFT Magic Shad! It really does work. Especially on big smallmouth.

The white or shad color has been my best producer for smallies. We do that all the time on Texoma. Caught some nice 4 pounders doing that. One local told me of a couple of 6 and 7 pound smallies up there caught that way in January.

I run it far enough on the hook to hold the bait securely on the hook. Some spinnerbaits have bait hooks on them built for trailers. You need those types of set-ups for this type of rig.

You can also put it on a chatterbait type rig and get some awesome results.
