If you had to put food on your families table by catching bass and had an unending supply of live or artificial bait, which bait would you use? In other words, if catching fish really mattered, do you think live or artificial would be more effective?

Couldn't you just eat the bait? Otherwise, I would prefer an artificial bait that could be use for a long time.

I'd go with a artificial live bait or a live artificial bait.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

Hmmmm.... You could probably make some money selling that combo, especially if it works.

I agree with Flarin. Remember, it's an endless supply, so having an artificial that lasts is a moot point. If I absolutely have to put food on the table, gimme a bream, shad, barfish, crawfish or waterdog.

That's what I was thinking. I couldn't feed my family with my "skills" either.

Well, one thing that you didn't mention that would be a HUGE factor. Do you have a boat? You see, if I had a boat, then I would do unlimited lures because you can go almost anywhere to catch em. If I don't have a boat I would go with live biat because you and I know its a heck of a lot harder to off the shore...but with live bait...the biat can do all the work...throw it out and let it atract the fish. Boat= Lure Shore= Live bait
