Bigg Un thanks for your coutsey and use of commons sense, but let me assure you that you are in the minority. we fished the bridge some and were fishing a between two sets of pillars. there was an empty set of pillars between us and another boat. we had 3 boats/jets ski's ran on pad through the empty space between us and the other boat.

those peoples stupidity gives me and my partner something laugh about during the day, but when they start pulling kids through them it isnt so funny anymore. i cant handle watching an adult put a kids life in danger.

Nope, but there maybe bouys soon. Many complaints have been made about this according to the local paper. I know there has been a lot of fishing around that bridge lately, Last week a boat on just about every coulmn, that didnt slow most of them down a bit. I know some of the guys that fish there to beat the heat after say 11:00, that's just about the time they show up. A man and 2 small boys were crappie fishing there Sunday and one of those wake boats came thru around 20 miles per hours pushing a 4ft wake and near swamped them, he untied and left.

It is ILLEGAL to go faster then headway speed under a bridge on Cedar Creek and Richland Chambers. The fish cop you spoke to should review the writen laws of Tarrant Regional Water District.

Here it is black and white. Page 18

Quote:
General Ordinance
11. No boat or watercraft shall pass under a bridge or highway overpass at a
greater speed than headway speed.

we were there prefishing a few weeks ago fishing that little island. this 40 foot yellow cigar boat that you could prolly hear in corsicana comes blowing up an shuts er down on the first pass through an heads on into caney. 3-5 minutes later he comes blowing up to it again but he aint lettin off the gas this time. he went through the center of that bridge and shot a rooster tail all the way to the top of that sucker. man it was crazy! first thought in my head was dude was bout to run that rig around one of those colums. Something needs to be done!

It's a 33 foot 98 Scarab. Twin whipple charged 502's. It will run 117 mph in moderate chop. I believe he would run it full sticks under a bridge, he not all there in the head plus has more money then the pope.

This the one

The problems comes from what I'm told by the fish cop, is that 90 percent of the bouys on Cedar Creek are put out by the property owners at the entrance to coves etc... not by Tarrant county.. I know this because (2) of them belong to me. I know that I can't contol the speed of someone flying in or out of our cove, but if the kids are swimming or your boat is just tied up, all takes a beating. Common sense and courtesy seems to be whats missing (Which at CC starts last week of May).

This is a good read, in fact is's funny. I can see why they don't even come out to CC (Headway speed) ?? They could get these boats for 127 violations before they ever get to the bridge. Passing a dock or another boat with-in 100-feet at more than headway speed Ha thats funny?? The fish cop said he is to inforce the laws of fish and game written by the state of TX of whom is employed, not those written by Tarrant County Water District. ??

I agree 100% the law should be enforced that is written by the state not controlling agency. This is what I said a few weeks ago when I got a ticket by TP&W for driving a boat while pulling a parasail on Richland Chambers. I was told on site that TP&W enforce TCWD laws aswell. BUT I will get my day in court!!

Probably not because the man that owns the huge house back behind the apartments before you get to the new bridge payed in full by himself to have that bridge raised. The state of Texas did not do that it was funded by that one guy so he could get his yacht under the bridge and back in the creek arm.
