looking for fellow students in bcs or anyone for that matter interested in setting up some type of little tournament schedule perhaps weekly on gibbons creek during the upcoming school year

Probably won't get many people to fish tourneys at gibbons. It's a slot lake number 1 and Somerville is only 10 min farther. Somerville is a much better lake and there is no slot.

Aggie anglers do 4 tourneys a semester if your a student.


Somerville also has 2 working man tourneys

I would fish it, but i think you should have Somerville in there also, some gibbons would be ok

Thursday 6-9pm out of overlook park and sunday mornings not sure on the sunday times though, it has been taking 8 to 13 lbs to win the Thursday event

Man I miss Somerville. 13 pounds is easy out there if you get on the right frog fish!!

yeah, the lake had been up a couple feet for a while, then they started pulling water and a lot of those shallow fish got a temporary case of lock jaw

There is a point up north with a rock ledge off the side. If you can find it your good. Had a buddy catch 2 7s off it one day. And the same buddys partner caught a 12 in the tires

I like Gibbons over Somerville. And as for the people saying its a slot lake... So is Fork and Ray Roberts just to name a couple. I'd be in for a Gibbons tourney.
