I am trying to get enough boats together to hold the tournament but hopefully on June 26th. I fished out there on 6/10 and I got nothing and I hardly marked any fish in the normal places. The wind hasn't helped matters either, I am headed to the lake either monday or tuesday or both.

Got my kids this week. We will hit Joe Pool in the evening at least once this week.

Thanks for the tips JPW.

Too windy this weekend. Went to RC Friday and caught 1!! Pretty sad.

report for 6/14, well today was not bad for everyone on the water except for me, but that is how it goes sometimes. I used several different lures including: a chartreuse slab, a chartreuse and white slab, silver tailspinner (two sizes), and a white slab and I caught 1 fish. Wayno was out with me as well and his day was much better than my own, he caught close to 15 fish including one cat, and one largemouth (on the same retrieve can you believe it!). His fish were coming on a smaller sized white slab (about 2'' long and a 1/2'' wide). We looked quite a bit for them and found them stacked up on a sharp drop that faced the south wind, and was it ever windy. I am going to head out later this week, and will give a report when I get in. I hope this helps you guys out, see ya on the water smile

report for 6/17, Wayno and myself hit the water around 5pm and stayed until about 8:30pm. Between the two of us we boated around 30 sandies and one nice largemouth. We were using white slabs and fishing between 26-30 feet of water. The bite was fairly steady throughout the day, with our larger fish coming closer to dark. I hope this info helps you guys catch a few, good luck and see ya on the water smile

dog head point, and that is about it. If you are familiar with firemans, and the flats in front of lynn creek park you should be able to catch some.

I'm thinking about going out in the morning for my first real time this year. I went out a little over a month ago to find out my trolling motor had quit working..... hammer

actually to your point Hydra Sport, I have talked at length with Rafe Brock from the T.P.W.D. and he told me the lake is not fertile enough for the fish in general. My main question was why don't they stock hybrids in the lake, and he said they lack the forage base. What makes it worse is that JP isn't a candidate for a stocking of shad either because of the poor levels of nutrients in the water. So pretty much what we have is what we have, and that is also the reasoning behind the smaller average fish size.
