I went ahead and ordered the 998 today from shut up and fish. Talk about great customer service, no more than 5 minutes after I placed my order he called to confirm everything was correct with the shipping address. If anyone is looking to buy one of these units, please consider shut up and fish. He is also about $412.00 cheaper than BPS and Cabela's.

Your gonna be watchin for that UPS man like a one eyed cat sittin in front of a seafood store!! Glad for ya man, !! Ive been looking at Shut up and fishes stuff too, cant beat the prices, I even called him one day to clarify some info, and hes just like us, loves to fish, just happens to sell fishfinders too. When I get mine, it will be from him too. I think you did good going for that humminbird, I know you were a die hard for lowrance. post some images once you get it installed and tweaked.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I googled them and got a place out of Cocoa Beach, Fl. Is that it?
They didn't even list fish finders on their website. Their website got kinda flaky on Google Chrome.

Installed mine myself. The most difficult part is trying to decide where to mount the transducer.
