how is the fishing at coleto right now and what can i do to catch a few taking a co worker fishing because the guy hasnt been in 2 years so i would like to put him on a few any help would be appreciated

i saw nobody replied to your post so i thought i'd bump it for ya. i've never been out that way before, had to look it up on a map. the coleto creek resevoir looks like a good spot though. lots bigger than the places i've been fishing recently.

Best advise i can give is find the matted hydrilla and fish the edges of it with senkos and throw frogs on it. We had a club tourney there last week it was kinda tough.

We've always had good luck on the shoreline north of the dam,a good point and a cove before it snakes around...usually moderate boat traffic on weekends, but have pulled some nice bass out with plastic worms and Baby Minus...also have had luck around the standing timber with jigs. Watch for alligators in some of the coves.
