 how do u tell difference in abu garcia's

can someone tell me how to tell the difference on the ambassedeur 6500's and 7000's... aint the only ones actually made in sweden the ones that say 'made in sweden' on the side plate?? and the first 2 digits of the number on the reel seat/foot... but what about the others like the ones that just say 'ambassadeur' on the side plate. and the ones that say 'abu garcia' on the side plate?? or 'assembled in sweden'.....where are what reels now and which one's to stay away from? thanks so much sorry for all the questions just confused.....bill

Fairly certain that any model with a "C" after the model number is made in sweden (that is not all inclusive as there are far more models made in sweden that don't have a C).
The BCX and the new Kalex are the only ones I know until the 7000 size that are made in China.
I personally prefer either the new model C3's or C4's with the Carbon Matrix drag or models prior to the 80's that don't even have IAR.

C indicates round reel not where it was made

And the number after the C indicates the # of bearings.
