ok so i have always like to fish but in the last 2 years i have really gotten into it and i think im almost addicted to fishing itself plus getting new fishing gear. I just got a new curado like 2 weeks ago and i already have 3 more reels in mind that i want. The next one i want is something that has some salt protection since i do some bay fishing.. ive seen the revo inshore, the quantum energy pt saltwater, and the quantum catalyst. I want the revo because the bearings are corrosion resistant. What do yall think about the saltwater reels? Which one would yall suggest?

All revos have corrosion resistant bearings. I fish almost exclusively saltwater and use revo s reels. They hold up fine, just rinse em off and grease and lube once a year. I abuse the heck out of em and they work great every time. Most "higher end" reels will do fine in saltwater due to the components they are built with. Any of the revos or shimanos willhold up great.

the shimano curado is approved for saltwater fishing as well. Pretty much any reel can be used in saltwater as long as you rinse them off after every trip.

Even saltwater reels recommend you fully break them down and completely relube after a trip. Even the Revo Inshore that I bought said this in the manual.

Almost no one actually does that though...

You don't have to fully break down the reel after every trip. Those manuals are stupid. You just rinse the reel and wipe it with a clean cloth so that water does not get into your reel and mess it up. You don't have to break it down.
