The new Z8's are pretty awesome boats and decently priced.

if i remember correctly the z9 was only available to the pros in 2007 but available to public in 2008 the pros definitely discovered all the minor and some major bugs of this rig but overall the 2008-09-10 are for the $$$$$ some of the best rigs out there.

I've been looking at the Z8 for the price of a 20'er not bad its hard to spend 10,000 to 15,000 more for same size boat with time hard like they are now days.

i absolutely agree kinda like comparing a tahoe to an escalade, same motors just really paying for name, fit and finish but overall they all do the same thing

My buddy has a new Z8 and lives pretty close to you, I bet he would let you check it out anytime that you want.

I think Nitro pricing is deceptive. After you rig them out to what comes pretty much standard on a comparable BassCat/Skeeter, etc. they're pretty close in price.

I have an 05 929 and I love it. The amount of room is great. Takes the big chop on choke without an issue as well. Can anyone tell me that a guy fishing out of a Ranger/Skeeter or another brand is going to catch more fish than a guy out of a nitro?

Deosn't Kevin Van Dam fish out of one. If he didn't like it im sure he could drop his sponsor and pick up another bass boat brand.

Stay with Ranger. They might be a little more up front, but will last a live time.

Nitro pays KVD 6 figures to fish out of a Nitro. I' impressed with the room, layout and visibility in a Z-9. I also like that I can get a 1 year old boat in the 30's. What I worry about which is what I found out on my 01 Triton is all that plastic is going to come loose. That makes me leary. I think the boat overall is fine and will fish really good. I just worry about all open cavity under the top cap and all that plastic. Time will tell.

Kevin Van Dam would fish out of a Bayliner if they paid him more than anyone else. With the pros, it is all about the money.

Looks like to me that Nitro is the only boat manufacturer that is trying to adjust to the economic times. Looks as if Triton may be following suit with a stripped out 18ft for 21,995 as well. They are good looking boats and I haven't heard anything bad about the new ones.

I'd like to fish out of one. I almost bought a Z7 a while back instead of this boat. I'm glad I went with the Ranger, but man would it be nice to have a BRAND NEW boat that no one has messed with but me.
