I am taking my grandfather down to choke to do a little catfishing on Friday.. I am a huge bass fisherman down at choke and need a little help on how the cats are biting down there right now? Water Depth? Best Bait?

The lake just got a lot of new water so the cats will be up in the freshly flooded shorelines. Watch for trees where the birds are roosting also, and any creeks that water is still flowing.

But shallow will be the key!

Fresh cut shad, Big Marv's punch bait, shrimp and liver.

Fish are shallow and deep...caught 75 nice sized blues.
Fellow guide friend of mine caught a 30 on punchbait today as well...fish are hot.
I know not much help but truth is they are deep as 70 and shallow as 18 inches....pick your poison.
