ive got a curado e7 and e5 and i think they are miles better than the revos with just magnetic brakes, the revos with both braking systems could be a good match against the curado though.

The Senkos are as light as I go conventional. Since you have both New Premier and STX. When do you consider the Premier a benefit over the STX at the same gear ratio?

I prefer the Premier because of the weight. With the old models, you gave up a bunch of drag strength with the Premier, but the new models are nearly the same. The only reason I bought the STX was to get the 7.1:1 gear ratio. If they made the Premier in 5..:1 and 7:1, I wouldn't buy any other reel.

I like the weight savings as well. Wish it had the extra bearing on the worm gear as with the STX. Do you see a difference in the smotthness of both reals?
