I will be out there with a group of people camping all weekend and want to get into some sandies and crappie. Plan on fishijng for one in the morning and the other in the evening. I have never fished for sandies at the Vine before. Any info would be appreciated as usual.

Crappie bite has been on early.

Sandbass bite has been on early.

Of course, I'm usually off the water by noon. laugh

Me's thinks I would target crappie bright and early and then move to sandbass after the crappie have settled down for a siesta. wink

Jimmy,

If you are on the water by day light..

You can limit out on sandies by 9..

I just sent you a email on locations... laugh

Good Luck.....

You should have no problem catching sandbass in the evening. I limit everytime I head out to Grapevine after work. Don't try it much on the weekends though as it is too crowded for me. Good luck.

Was out on Grapevine this morning 6:30am to 8:30am and did not see anyone catching anything. Tried Rocky Point, Sandbass Point, the Island, and Murrell. Caught three w/ only one keeper. May try again tomorrow.
