out of the two I would go with a uni knot.

I like FZ1's suggestion though. A Palomar knot would work better than either one of those.

this will settle the knot debate. Its a great site from North American Fishing Club. Lasts years winner was the Palomar. The Fishing Fool knot beat it on this video

The berkly braid not is now the winner. They will probaly find something next year to beat that.

I wanted one knot that was good with all lines. The fishin fool knot has filled that bill. No more knot failures with braid, florocarbon, or mono.

Palomar has been the #1 recommended knot for flouro since it became a popular freshwater line. Lots of other personal favorites will be posted but the palomar is the one recommended most.

I use Palomer for the simplicity.I can tie it easily. I am not in a very high percentage situation to catch bass over 5-6 lbs. and I never have any trouble.

I need to check out the San Diego Jam, the Fishing Fool, and the Alberto knots as well though.

SAN DIEGO JAM

Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

If you're not tying a palomar your giving away line strength. Best knot overall...hands down.

Palomar is actually the best knot. Many said it wasn't good. Knot tests have proven differently. The second knot I do use with it is a Uni-Knot. I haven't tried nor know how to tie the San Diego Jam.
