i recently bought a 05 skeeter tzx 200 they guy that had it before me had back problems and used the big seat up front. now i cant get the d amn thing out of the floor. i used a pipe wrench to break it lose and now all it does is turn. i spent a solid 30 min just turning it yesterday and it moved maybe 1/16 inch....

Sounds like that may be a threader bushing in the pedestal base and if it is well your in a bind. May have to replace the pedestal base. Dont know that just thinkin out loud. Good luck with it.

find a neighbor hood kid and tell him if he keeps spinning it until it comes out youll give him ten dollars. i figure it'll take him thirty minutes to give up and you dont have to pay him. then find another kid to do the same and he'll give up. and so on and so on until one day it looks like its actually gonna come out. then take it out your self and your good and you didnt spen the money getting the pedestal replaced and you didnt have to pay anything.

i had this happen on an older basscat. I ended up selling that boat with the pole sitting it that base. i tried penetrating oil, and everything i could think of to no gain.. get a new pedestal bracket and pole if you can.

Not sure about a Skeeter, but had a ramblin wreck Ranger that I had to take the base off the deck, and finally got the pedestal itself out. Lots of lube, and some love taps......:) Before you get real rough with it, make sure it doesn't have some kind of 'latching' device like some Champs have. Good luck. Jim

It does have a threaded shaft that goes into the base. Best luck is let it sit soaked in some type of break free lube.
I have the same boat, and I haven't had that problem yet, but I rairly use my seat anymore due to it being so far forward.

Find someway to put a floor jack on it, or find someone with a cherry picker (thing you use to pull an engine of a car) see if these things can hoist it out. Ive had this problem on a skeeter before, and it has to be turned just right, but also has to have way more pressure on it pulling up than i have. Just my thought

ok i just looked at it. it looks like just the pole its self is turning and not the screw part of it. it is a swivel ease or what ever they are called from academy. i wonder if i can drill trough it and put big flat head trough it to get it to turn? lol iam just nervous about braking out the power tools on it already

I have used a floor jack in the past. (actually 2) I used two pieces of 2x4 up against the seat. I jacked it up slow....one side then the other. If you have already used the penetrating oil and know that it is unscrewed all the way this may help. If not, bigger pipe wrench and a long cheater pipe for leverage. Just a few things that I found that worked in the past.

I have the same boat, and I haven't had that problem yet, but I rarely use my seat anymore due to my legs are much longer than the average persons. Far be it from me to ever defend Skeeter but I fixed that one for you. Just couldn't help myself

I know your legs can't touch the floor when you sit all the way back in the chair.
