My dad gave me his old top tenner, stick steering with a 50hp merc, when he bought his new VIP. I was still in high school. That old boat led to my skipping something like 75 days my senior year.

Yes, RAYCRAFT, thats one i was trying to remember.!

Had a buddy who swore they were built better than Ranger or Skeeter.

Whats the story/history on Raycraft ?

Anyone know/met John Storie of Champion and Hawk fame ?

Tidecraft Wildfire 150 with a Mariner Mag 150.....light, kinda cheap but stupid fast. First new boat I ever bought. Few years old and the transom became very "flexible". Ran well past 70 and walked all over the place!

My old boss had a 20` Eldocraft with a Mercury 200 Black Max. That baby would run 72 mph. We almost sank it at Fork in the late eighties. One of the hoses cracked and let water in the boat from the side ports.

You used to see a lot of Challengers out there....My Dad owned two of them...They were a good mid priced boat with a pad hull.

Way back when there was a boat made around Nashville names an "Angler" (tri hull boat).....I owned one at one time long ago with a 65 Johnson

Don't forget the old Monark glass boats -- made in MONticello ARKansas....hence the Monark name.

The old Venture boat was a good boat for its time. Brings back good memories.

Fishing Arkansas and Florida. Retired, driving Rangers, catching bass, releasing them live and loving it.

I saw a guy getting ready to put in an old Venture when I was loading yesterday at Millcreek...

Said he paid $350 for it last summer and it looked pretty nice!
