Heading up to Ray Bob in the morning... havn't been this year yet. The TPWD report says they're showing up in the creeks now. But, it also says the lake is turning murky. How is the murky water effecting the bite? Wanna have a fish fry tomorrow night. What are my chances? Thanks

Anybody know at what point the lake turns from murky to just stained?

You may pick up a few in the creeks but they are not moving up much as of yet. Murky water is good. warmest water today was 58 most of the day it was around 54.

Heath-Bar,

Any luck today? I'm working, then heading down to Kerrville through mid week and may try Buchanan with my father in law Wednesday.

I hear Lavon and Benbrook are picking up. Bridgeport too.

Hey Marty, Nope... it pretty much sucked. One small catfish for our efforts. We tried deep, shallow, trees, bridges no creeps to be found. Boat ran like ####. It was one of those days when you wish'd you hadn't paid any attention to your alarm @ 5:00am.

I am hauling the family to Isle Du Bois this weekend....are there good bank spots in that area? Never fished the lake personally.

Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life

Lots of good bank spots off Du Bois. Also got the nice dock but not sure if the fish will be there. Johnson park seems to hold more crappie in the spawn should be some vegitation flooded on the flats and with a roadrunner may get a nice one or more.
Either way should be a great weekend for being in the park..
