I fished the south end of the lake yesterday. I tried shallow all around wolf creek, indian creek, over around tigerville and up toward Point Blank and struck out. Nothing, nada, zippo, not even a sniff.

You would'nt put the shuck on us would ya Greg?
Probably not, the fishing this year as far as the spawn goes, seems to be less predictable than I have ever seen in many years. Not just on one Lake, but most of the lakes from north to south Texas.
This cold winter has really got them confused, and we just can't seem to get any warm nights just yet.
We really need about a week or so of 60 degrees and above night temps for about a week straight to really get things consistant on the shallow bite.

Looking forward to Livingston tourney, see ya there Greg!

Oh, and thanks for the info Greg!

It will be good to see you again, Kevin.
Should be fun, maybe a little wet.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 74.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 67.

Hey, I found fish. No problem.

Big Mac too bad you cant mount that one.
Did you catch that fish trying to leave the nest.LOL

All this sounds pretty fishy so I quess we will go with the cane pole 20lb mono and sharp hook and see what happens.

If all that fails we will follow Paul around and net all the fish he catches. Gotta have a plan.

Thanks for the info.

Hey Mack, looking forward to seeing my DFW area friends, it's been a while.
Your right about the weather, but what else is new when it comes to tournament time.
I'm up for the challenge and ready for a good time!
See you guys Friday!

I wouldn't kid you. The Chicken Fried Steak from the Trinity Cafe is worth the 2.5 hr drive from my house alone. Throwing it in free with the tournament fee is a no brainer whether I catch any fish or not. laugh

I'll have to agree, that is a big part of why I make the 3 hour trip from my house.
Sure is good food and good company thumb
