was looking at trying it out tomorrow but didn't want to make the trip from abilene if there's not a boat ramp that reaches the water there. any help or advice on the lake is much appreciated

I don't know about the lake level but stamford lake is nearby and it is close to full. it is a very small lake and you can cover everything in a day, catails, stick ups, pads, and rip rap at the dam.

Last time i went to north anson lake I realized I had drove there for nothing. The lake was in bad shape and there was no way I was putting my boat in. I agree with Jcheyne just drive another 20 mile and fish stamford.

shoot straight or run fast

i put my boat on it last year, the deepest part of the whole lake was 9', i had heard of several large bass being caught in it. there were a lot of cattails just out of the waters edge last year. the lake has to have caught water being stamford has came up so much last month so those cattails should be in about 2-3'. just watch the west edge of dam there is a rock shelf that was about 1' under surface, found it with my big motor prop while trolling down dam. the sw end of lake was about 3' all the way across last year. You might try it instead of stamford right now, stamford is as slow as i have ever seen it. but save april's fishing days lol
