Dude, the first cast(see birdsnest) I ever made on my Uncle's baitcaster was epic...I think it never got picked out. He worked on it for an hour on the boat before giving up.

We were casting with the wind ,, But still very proud of him ,,can't wait till it's warmer so we can take the Champion out .. He's probally going to out fish me ,,, lol

That really is amazing. He really seems to get it. The bond between a grandpa and his grandson is very strong. My grandpa and I bonded on day one, and we are still as close now as we were then.
