Falcon may be a better topwater lake than what some people think though because of the way that most of the experienced anlger fish it. Not too many big time falcon guys fish the lake shallow enough to use topwaters. Most people like to fish offshore structure on this lake and I dont blame them. However, even when I fish shallow I never have gotten a good top bite out there with any regularity!

Thanks - i was just curious cheers

Amen to topwater. It get's a bad rap on Falcon that I think is totally unfounded. It might not be the best pattern on the lake, but to me it's the most fun. I've had some of my best topwater days on the lake.

Thanks - i was just curious cheers

I agree with the above thoughts of limited Falcon topwater bites so if you do throw topwater and don't get any action abandon it for better production. Personal favorites are T'riged brush hogs and hoo daddy's in wat/red and green pumpkin with chart dipped tails. Weightless T'rigged Senko's and both larger size flukes in same colors and dipped. Chart/white spinner baits with gold willow blades. Off shore 10-15 inch worms in the above colors plus Chart/pepper and plum. Deep cranks in the chart colors and firetiger along with 1 1/4 oz spinner baits same as above. Those are basic patterns that will catch Falcon fish but do not be affraid to try new lures and techniques once you are on fish.

Also jigs in the above soft plastic colors may produce some your bigger fish.
