World Record? Never gonna happen. Not sure the record now isnt fictional. The biggest smallmouth in the world live in my area. southern Ky has the climate they need to grow big. Dale Hollow, Norris, Laurel, Cumberland.

Erie without a doubt may be another 5-6 years but the food and conditions are there, the problem it gets 1/5 the attention it really should.

I'll take Lake Simcoe!!

Did the IGFA put the Hayes Smallie (11.15) back in the books or is it still officially a 10.08?

Devils River... I have a buddy who has caught one bigger than the state record and have heard several other accounts of the texas state record being caught out of the Devils. the only reason none of these fish were registered was because of the remote location. I have caught largemouths up to 8lbs and smallmouth up to 6lbs out of the Devils, so I beleive the world record potential is definately there.

Yeah, its back in the books. It was supposedly caught on the KY side of Dale, but TN claims it.

Surprised California doesn't have huge smallmouth. They have the spots and largemouth down.
