I saw the Deputies out there last weekend when I was fishing. BTW My wife and I went out for an evening cruise Saturday night and as we were coming in to the marina with Sneaky Pete's a ski boat with about 8 young men came out with no running lights. I yelled at them to turn them on, they replied that they were "getting wasted" held up some beers and punched it. They never turned on their lights. I am new to LL. I was on Texoma 2 years ago and last year Grapevine. Looking forward to getting to know y'all. I am in a 22' Seaswirl WA with Striper on the side. Do y'all use a certain channel on the marine radio like they do at Texoma? See you out there.

You guys are talking about all the reasons I won't go to Travis on any weekend, let alone a holiday weekend.
Hunting isn't all about the killing, just like fishing isn't all about the catching.

Why even go on that lake? You could not pay me to go out there.

Yes they are patrolling out there quite often. My father in law is one of the deputys that is doing it this year. Rumor has it that now they can write tickets for not only boating violations but also for TPWD stuff too like undersized fish or no fishing license. So heads up out there and keep an eye out for him. They are watching.

I had a guy in a HUGE multi-decked boat almost hit us at the dam last year. I did get his description and call the sheriff. They tried to track him down, but never heard anything. Now I have a digital camera and will probably have more pics of idiots than fish, this weekend. We'll be out early and maybe late, but during prime time we'll be home safe and sound. I'm not going to allow these fools to keep me off my home town lake. I can be as courtious as anyone, but also can get very angry. They don't want to see me angry!!
