I am going to fish Amon Carter next week and have never been on the lake. Can anyone tell me the water clarity...muddy, stained, clear?
Thanks

The new side is pretty clear the old side stays stained to muddy all the time. Be careful where you run theres alot of trees just under the surface in areas that look open. Cant tell you anything about the fishing as I havent been there since early fall.Hope this helps.

Don't go if you don't have to. Only time I've done well is spring. Other than that the lake is brutal.

The fish left......Dont go to Carter

Actually Kramer 12 is right - winter fishing is tough on Carter

Try jigs on the edge or the tree lines by the old cemetary -
did well a few weeks ago with 4 decent fish in 5 hours out there

Spring time rules!!

That is my favorite lake in North Texas year round. I fish the old side 99% of the time, Im not into the ultra clear water. The old side is fairly clear visability is about 2ft give or take fish boat docks with a black/blue jig with black pork. Just fish slow. I have more luck on that lake than any other during the cold months. Good Luck. And launch out at selma park its on the old side and in better shape than the new side ramp in my opinion

Check out my YouTube channel as I fish out of my Native Titan 10.5 in Texas and Oklahoma reservoirs
