Don't believe in none of it, I do believe in God's blessings though. Just being on the lake is a blessing to me catchin fish is icing on the cake. When I fish a tourny the first thing I do when I back the boat off the trailer is fill the livewell and get the net ready. I guess you call that faith.

Ok im with yall on the net in the boat and catching a fish on the first cast but what is the deal with bananas? I usually don't have any food in the boat so I don't know about that one.

I don't get the banana thing either. confused

And I'm not superstitious, but I have found a ritual that works pretty good when everything else fails.....It's the "Here Fishy...Fishy...Fishy" call. Y'all are probably laughing at the thought of a grown man standing on the front of the boat calling out "Here Fishy....Fishy....Fishy", but I've seen it work so many times for my wife, I can't not try it!! rolfmao

Yall are crazy. If I'm by myself, I get the net out and ready to use. The measuring board is drilled onto the cooler lid, and I'll take anything to the lake with me, including bananas. I also always want to catch a fish on the first cast, I always try to. But unlike most, I don't believe in superstitions, just blessings. When I fished with David Dudley, he taught me a lot about the mental aspect of fishing, and that has helped a BUNCH.

Pretty much the same.

Without a doubt, everyone in the our club, self included, has always had a horrible day when we have caught a fish on our first cast. The one guy will throw his lure in the water, then immediately reel it in to get his first cast out of the way. ha ha ha

I don't feel like I have a chance unless I bring my 1lb. salt water weights and a good book to read.

ME TOO!! I can't have the net out on the deck. It is almost like Ruth calling his shot. If I forget to put it up I will look at my partner and say "we will catch one after I put this net up". Usually within a cast or two we can put one in the boat. Weird how that works! LOL!
