Again, need the over-size bun

cook your burger to fit the bun, but a little on the thin side makes the sandwich easier to eat..not a big blob type patty all rounded off, make it flat

grill the bun with butter, add cheese of course

You need already baked beans that have sat in the refrigerator overnight: that part is important, because the fridge will reduce some of the moisture and beans will stick together better. Have your chopped up bacon and chopped up grilled onions in the beans. A little honey goes well also if you want.

Now, you FRY up a mess of those beans, not mixing them up too much, in order to keep them together still. Cut out a patty just a little smaller diameter than your meat, keeps it all from squishing out and causing a mess when you eat.

assemble your sandwich, you are not going to believe how good this comes together. And you will see why it helps to have the flat patty, and to keep the beans kind of like a patty.

Man, this is goooooddddd!!.

The Blue Cheese crumbled up in burgers is awesome. I tried it a few weeks back. I also like to add lipton onion soup mix to mine sometimes as well.

ive tried it a couple times and it comes out awesome but its gonna sound strange. i steam the burger patties, i use a big pot, and put a round wire rack down in it, i put enough water to stray under the rack and start boiling the water, put the patties (not terribly thick but not paper thin either) on the rack, and cover the pot.. flip them every once in awhile (and add water, keep an eye on your water level).. it takes longer than just frying them but once you get them done all the way thru, they are so dam juicy, and you get all that good beef taste without having to even season them alot.

you can also put a small metal bowl with a hunk a cheese on the rack, let it melt it down, then take it out with the burgers and plop the cheese on the patty, it will goo all over it.. mmmmmmmmmm dam

gonna have to have burger tonight..
