Went Saturday morning and only saw 1 red caught and one guy catching croaker. The were tons of people down there. But on the way there I saw people catching Bull Reds in the High Island Surf. They were taking pictures when I passed by.

I saw them down there as well catching large ones. We fished the gut next to the intercoastal behind Rollover late Sunday afternoon. Luckily, had 2 anchors on board to help with the incoming tide. Kept one nice Red, one 19" Flounder. Threw back a lot of Gafftop and Croakers. My fiance had 2 break-offs . We fished with cut-up sandtrout, shrimp, piggy-perch. I caught the Flounder on my first cast with artificial.
Rollover Pass fishing area is starting to get trashy again. Let's pick up our stuff.

It a very sad thing THAT people will haul there TRASH to the pass and then wont take the C**p back home with them!!.When I fish on the bank I take hefty bags aput my trash in them.when I fish out of my boat, my boat is a trash can till i get back and clean it out!.It just dont have to be this way!!........JMHO Tide

Yea it was alot of trash down there. I always put my trash in a bag and take it back to my house . Thats anywhere I fish at... I always try to keep my area clean when I fish even if its not my trash I pick it up and haul it off.

I know rite how hard is it pick up your trash by the end of a trip the back of my truck is trashed but atleast its going home with me

As for the trash problem...like most of you, it really ticks me off.

So, in addition to taking out my own trash, I make it a point to pick up one or two items of someone else's trash too. NO....I shouldnt have to do it....but if we all just picked up ONE extra piece of trash each time we went out...we can make a huge dent in the trash problems in a lot of bank/beach fishing spots.

If WE dont do it....who will ?
